Veteran songwriter Glen Desmond had a huge hit in the 1960s with his song Maybe That's What Life Is but due to various anxieties and stumbling blocks he didn't have any continued success.

In his later years, living off the royalties of his perennial classic, he still wonders about life and what it means while making routine walking trips around his Adelaide neighborhood, cleaning his home and trying not to break down.
